Kenya Jones-Lowell Honored as ASID “Ones to Watch” Scholar
Rice Fergus Miller (RFM) is proud to announce that Kenya Jones-Lowell, Interior Designer, has been named a 2025 Ones to Watch Scholar by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Kenya was honored in August at GATHER 2025, ASID’s National Conference in Atlanta, GA.
The ASID Ones to Watch program identifies and celebrates rising leaders in the design industry who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a commitment to advancing the profession. Kenya’s work centers around the power of community.
As one of eight honorees nationwide, Kenya joins a distinguished group of design practitioners, educators, volunteers, and manufacturers recognized for their impact and vision. This honor reflects not only her creative and technical expertise, but also her dedication to fostering equity in the built environment
Kenya is an interior designer working with an acquired neurological disability in the Pacific Northwest. She is an alumna of Converse College for Women and the Savannah College of Art and Design. After completing her thesis on Resilient and Sustainable Communities, she began her professional career by returning to her hometown of Springfield, MA joining BNIM’s “Rebuild Springfield” workplan, revitalizing the community after the 2011 tornado.
Now an Interior Designer at Rice Fergus Miller, Kenya designs environments for hospitality, aviation, and tribal enterprises. Her work has been featured in over 150 publications, and she has been awarded top honors for her creativity, innovation, and advocacy.
