Rice Fergus Miller Earns Sixth Consecutive NEWH TopID Award

Bremerton, WA — Rice Fergus Miller (RFM) has been honored with the 2025 NEWH TopID Award, marking the firm’s sixth consecutive win. This national recognition, presented by the Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH), celebrates firms that exemplify exceptional hospitality design and demonstrate a continued commitment to the industry through education, mentorship, and community involvement.

This year’s award recognizes RFM’s recent work at Tulalip Resort Casino, including the Salish Suite and the Grand Asian Suite— two stunning renovations that embody the firm’s ability to blend cultural storytelling with high-end guest experiences.

The Salish Suite, inspired by the Tulalip Tribe’s connection to the Salish Sea, offers a modern, Northwest-inspired retreat featuring undulating wood walls, natural textures, and curated artwork honoring the Coast Salish Tribes’ annual Canoe Journey. The Grand Asian Suite, a reimagined version of a longtime guest favorite, delivers a bold, luxurious ambiance through rich finishes, deep hues, and thoughtful details that preserve this guest suite that is always in high demand while updating it with a contemporary feel.

“Being recognized again by NEWH is a powerful reminder of the impact great design can have,” said Jennifer Fleming, Principal and Hospitality Market Leader. “These suites highlight the continued 4-diamond guest experience that Tulalip Resort Casino prides itself on providing to it’s VIPs.”

Over the past six years, RFM has been celebrated for its standout hospitality work, including the ongoing renovation and expansion of Tulalip Resort Casino, the recently opened Suquamish Clearwater Market, and a range of projects for clients across the Pacific Northwest. These environments reflect the firm’s deep investment in design that is innovative, guest-focused, and locally grounded.

Beyond design, RFM’s team plays an active role in NEWH’s Northwest Chapter. Fleming currently serves as Scholarship Director, supporting the organization’s mission to foster the next generation of hospitality leaders through scholarship and mentorship. Interior Designer Jamie Hysell also plays a leadership role as 2024 Past President.

“NEWH is about elevating people as much as projects,” said Hysell. “To be recognized for both is incredibly rewarding.”

Other 2025 TopID honorees include Dawson Design Associates, Inc. and The Society.

As a Certified B Corporation and leader in hospitality design, RFM remains committed to shaping experiences that are as thoughtful and authentic as they are beautiful.
