Rice Fergus Miller Employees Selected in 40 Under Forty Program
Bremerton, WA—November 2, 2010
Three employees of Rice Fergus Miller have been selected by the Kitsap Peninsula
Business Journal as outstanding young business leaders in their “40 Under Forty”
program. This program highlights individuals making a notable impact on their
business or industry.
Monica Blackwood joined Rice Fergus Miller in 2001 and is the Director of Business
Operations and a Senior Professional in Human Resources. Monica became a
principal with the fi rm in 2010, and has a special focus on strategic planning. She is
active throughout the community, serving on several boards, with a special focus
on promoting youth and education causes.
Jeremy Southerland is a senior associate with Rice Fergus Miller, focusing on the
master planning of complex senior housing and healthcare projects. In addition,
he is the lead designer for Rice Fergus Miller’s new offi ce space in downtown
Bremerton. This full renovation of the old Sears automotive annex on 5th Street will
be a LEED® Platinum certifi ed project will be complete in the Spring of 2011.
Jeff Weis is a designer at Rice Fergus Miller, focusing on fi re station design. He
recently led the fi rm’s launch of the design software Revit and tutors staff in its use
and capabilities. Jeff is a member of the Poulsbo/North Kitsap Rotary.
