Quinault Wellness Center
This 18,000-square-foot Quinault Wellness Center is an out-patient facility designed to address the opioid epidemic through evidence-based holistic substance use treatment. The Quinault Indian Nation is dedicated to serving the Grays Harbor community with a new medication-assisted treatment clinic that offers wrap-around care for tribal members and local residents. The project is an adaptive reuse of an existing forty year old structure which was completely gut renovated to support its new purpose of providing MAT services, primary care, dental, behavioral health care, and childcare to the surrounding community. The project is also a significant new development for Aberdeen and its modern aesthetic has created an immediate impact in the effort to revitalize the cities downtown core. Rice Fergus Miller did a master plan for the full build out of the site to create a healing campus in downtown Aberdeen. This MAT facility is the first phase with an expansion planned for the remainder of the site.
